I'm genuinely grateful for the chance to serve alongside Grace Community Covenant Church. My path to pastoral ministry began in 2006, shaped by an MDiv from Fuller and a PhD in theology focused on human dignity, beauty, and the imago Dei. I have been a licensed minister with the Evangelical Covenant Church since 2024, and I'm on track to be ordained in 2027. The question that drives everything I do is simple: How do we help people flourish?
I love studying theology, but I'm equally passionate about justice, ethics, and how the Spirit renews us from the inside out. I've served as a Small Groups Pastor at Livingwater Church in Berkeley, Executive Pastor at Livingwater Church in Alameda, Associate Dean at SUM Bible College and Theological Seminary, and as Director of Spiritual Formation at First Covenant Church in Oakland.
Outside the pulpit, I'm a husband to my best friend Esther and a dad to our daughter Evelyn—we love exploring the world together. And I've been training Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu since 2014, which has become a second spiritual practice for me. There's something about grappling with technique, failure, and resilience on the mat that teaches you profound things about faith and community.
I'm here because I've seen what happens when a local church becomes the body of Christ for its community—shaped by God's love, pursuing justice and flourishing for all. I'd love for you to be part of that with us.
